RIFLE SHOOTING
HAUTERE CLUB'S SCORES On Saturday the Hautere Rifle Club held another practise shoot over three ranges. The weather was extremely hot, causing a mirage which made sighting difficult, while a tricky fishtail wind required constant watching. Despite the conditions some excellent scores were returned. Rlm. T. Empson scored a possible at 300 yards, while Rlm. F. Freeman shot consistently for three 33's, and was top man for the day. Individual scores at 300, 500 and 600 yard ranges, including handicaps, together wlth the total, were as follows: — F. Freeman 33 — 33 — 33 —99, E. Monk 33—34—31—98, C. - Cobb 33—34—31—98, F. H. Monk 31 __33_32— 96. T. Empson 35—29—32 —99, L. E. Monk 33—34—31—98, C. Simcox 33 — 33 — 29 — 95, R. L. Monk 30—32—32—94, N. Monk 31—30—32 — 93, Ron Jepsen 31 — 28 — 23 — 82 and J. Clarke 23—25—28—76.
