NEW ARTHRITIS CURE
TESTS ON CRIPPLED HORSE Received Tuesday, 12.54 a.m. LONDUN, Nov. 25. A crippled racehorse has been prominent in experiments leading to tlie discqvery of a new treatment for artbritis, says the Yorkshire Post. The treatment,, is arousing international intefest. A team of doctors from the Sunderland Royal Infinnary after working for 13 years on the arthntis problem were permitted to experiment on the horse when it was to be shot after a steeplechasing accident. The doctors injected the horse 's joints with the new treatment and the horse after six months fully recovered and raced successfully. A doctor with arthritis was the next subject for experiment and he completely recovered. The Yorkshire Post says the treatment is based on the injection of acid to overcome the excess of alkali in the joints.
