THEFT AT TE HORO
FINE OF £5 INFLICTED Nigel Barry Orr, of Wanganui, who was charged with the theft of six gallons of petrol and rope, to the value of 29s, the property of Albert A. Rolfe, of Te Horo, appeared before Messrs. H. Nicolson and W. McBeth, J.'sP., at the weekend and was fined £5, in default two months' imprisonment, and ordered to make restitution. Accused pleaded guilty. Constable W. Calwell stated that Orr ran short of benzine while in the vicinity of Te Horo, and seeing Mr. Rolfe's open sh-ed, entered it, took the petrol and put it into his own car. He later returned and was -helping himself to the rope, when Rolfe caught him in the act.
