WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. Strong representations will be made to the Miuisler of Works (Mr. Semple) about the alleged non-observance ol! the earpenters and joiners award by tlie Public Works Department. This decision was reached at a meeting this week attended by 50 men engaged in the department 's joinery shop on maintenance work in Wellington. Gomplaints by the men concern pay for the last Anniversary Day holidav, dirt money, overtime and travcJling time.
