AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. On his arrival by Tasman flyingboat on the last stage of his journey from Canada, Mr. J. H. Thompson, New Zealand Federation of Labour's delegate to the International Lahonr Offi.ce Conference at Montreal, declined to comment 011 the controversy caused hy his remarks 011 the nation.alisation of the Bank of New Zealand and the question of the nationalisation of other trading hank^. He told a reporter he wanted to read fully the reports of his speech as they had appeared in the newspapers in New Zealand, hefore making any statement, Mr. Thompson, who has heen ahsent from the Dominion • since ' July, refused to comment on conditions as he found them in Canada or America.
