BUS STRIKERS TO RESUME

CLASH WITH RELIEF DRIVERS Received Thursday, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 20. A trade union secretary announccd that the Manchester bus services are resuming tomorrow morning. A mass meeting of the bus strikers earlier decided to resumt tomorrow if the volunteers were withdrawn by 4 p.m. today. Latei all the volunteer-driven buses were called off the runs. Earlier hundreds of the striking transport workers, angered by the news that 70 buses had broken through their picket lines, tried to stop every double-decker coming out of the transport depot. Strikers frog-marched some student drivers, beat up others, deflated tyres and drained radiators of buses. A pitched battle went on until 20 police charged and broke up the mclee. The police escorted the students into the depot. Street clashes broke out in othei parts of Manchester. A line of 10( strikers blocked 40 students whc were on their way to the corporation bus school for driving tests.
