Personal , Mr. Colin Mortimer has relinquished his position at the Club Hotel and ekpects to leave next week for Napier. Mr. A. H. Doreen has recently disposed of his business in Plimmer Terrace and is spending a short holiday before taking up a new position. " . Mrs. Martin and he'r infant daughter, of ■ Wellington, are spending a few days with Mrs. Martin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roach, Stout Street. Miss T. Moynihan, of the Shannon Dairy Company's staff, has returned from a holiday visit to Auckland, where she attended the wedding of her cousin. Mr. and Mrs. W. Moynihan, East Road, were also recent visitors to Auckland. Music and Elocution Recital Each year about this time the pupils of Mrs. R. R. Lind and Miss L. Lind entertain at a public recital, the proceeds of which are devoted to some needy cause in the district. This year the recital, which is to be held in the Druids' Hall next Monday evening, will be given in aid of the War Memorial Fund. Both Mrs. and Miss Lind have had a very successful yea*with their pupils, and their standard of both music and elocution is very high. All who attend the recital are assured of a" delightful evening's entertainment.
