OBITUARY
MR. ERNEST ALFRED PULLMAN „ The late Mr. Ernest Alfred Pullman, of Te Horo, who passed away at the Palmerston North Hospital on Sunday, was well known in both the South and North Islands. For some time he worked in the timber mills in the South, where he was very popular with his many friends. He went farming at Queen Chariotte Sounds, after which he came north to Te Horo, where he had resided for some 26 years, making many friends by his quiet, unassuming manner. Mr. Pullman was a very successful farmer 'and also a keen sportsman. In his younger days he was a good cricketer, and in later years a prominent bowler, being a member of the Otaki Club and serving for. some considerable time on the committee. Prior to his death, Mr. Pullman was unconscious for three days, then rallied, finally collapsing on- Sunday and passing away. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved widow, son (Ken) and other relatives. Deceased has one brother living in the Auckland district, and two sisters, one in Gisborne and the other in North •Auckland. The late Mr. Pullman was the eldest of a family of nine. j
