The amomit liandied on the totalisator at" Feilding oii "Saturday, £68,560, was just short of a record for the course, having been bettered only by the £68,905 10s put through last Easter Monday. It was the lirst spring meeting held by the club since 1941, when the figures for the respective days of the two -day meeting were £21,240 and £16,616.
