Received Mondav, 7.48 p.m. JERUSALEM, Xov. 18. Three British polieemen and an R.A.E. sergeant were killed and six British polieemen injured when a road mine blew np a lorry in a Tel Aviv sub urb. Ageney eorrespondents stute the mine was plaeed in the middle of ihe street in a sparsely populated area. Tlupoliee immediately eordoned olT the area and dogs were brought to the-seene in j an attempt fo track tlie assailants. Reuter's eorrespondent reporls tliat sirens sounded in Tel Aviv after midnight bringiug to a standstill all traflie. Riflo lire was lieard in a , number of streets. Militarv headcpiarters has flatlv denied tliat troops had moved in on a retaliatorv attack against the Jews | following tlie blowing up of the police lorry. The police said six Jews were slightly injured in scull'les during the roundup of suspeets. A few single shots were lired in the air to lialt Jewish1 erowds.
