Personal Mr. and Mrs. W. Wilson, who have been on a holiday in the North, have returned to,-Otaki. ~ The death occurred at Wellington yesterd'ay of Mrs. ''Bob" Hayes, only daughter of the l,ate Mr. and Mrs. Mark Ayre, of Otaki. Mrs. Hayes was in her 56th year. Mr. W. Dodds, Otaki's oldest European resident, who has been seriously indisposed, has improved auring the past few days. Mrs. Bell, another old resident, is in the Palmerston North, Hospital in a very indifferent state of health. . There passed away at the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday Mr. Ernest Alfred Pullman, for many years a well-known and highly respected resident of Te Horo. Mr. Pullman, who was 73 years of age, had been in indifferent health for some time. He is a well-known bowler and popular with all. The late Mr. Pullman leaves a widow and son, Ken, to mourn theij: loss. Private cremation will take place in Wanganui. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved relatives. ! Outdoor Games I Alchough Saturday was gusty, ; outdoor games were freely indulged j in £ on the local bowling greens, | tennis courts and other playing | areas. {New Zealanders' Club ! The Young New Zealanders' Club, 'which was opened a week ago by I the management of the Civic 'Theatre, is rapidly growing in popularity and on Saturday at the second gathering of club members .there was an attendance of riearly '200. -
