ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
METHODIST SUN DAY SCHOOL The rendering of special hymns by a ehildren's choi-r under the conductorship of Mr. K, A. Bowater was a feature of the Methodist Sunday School's anniversary celebrations, held in St. John's ■ Methodist Church, Levin, yesterday. Music for the occasion was supplied by the organist, Mrs. L. Hutton, pianist, Mrs. W. Burnham and two violinists, Mr. L. R. Spencer, and Mr. A. C. Kennerley. The morning and evening services were conducted for senior scholars, while a special afternoon serviee was held for primary scholars during which the routine work of the children of the kindergarten and primafy division of the Sunday School was enacted. Errol Burnham read a passage' from the scriptures. The- hymn "Jesus Loves Me'" was sung by Margaret Hudson, Allan Lynne and Phillip Tomlinson, and Fleur Ha^ey, Alaine Hudson, Nola Wildbore and Norma Smith sang "Little Friends of Jesus."
After a brief address by the Rev. H. S. Kings, prizes won during the year were presented by Mrs. Kings, to the following primary students: Gloria Wilkinson, Ngaire Jacob, Anne Vincent, Jean Parsons, Alison Annabell, Peter Williams, Rex Bowater, Neil Bowater, Alistair Swan, Phillip Tomlinson, George Kells, Harold Kells, Rex Fyfe, Douglas Dobson,. Lindsay Maclean, Donold Greig, Keven Palmer, Craig Wallis, John Lyons, Errol Burnham, Graeme Annabell, Peter Rolston, Garry Pratt, Bruce Hudson, ^ Wendy Cole, Nola Knight, Linda Martin, Judith Yuile, Janice Lee, Shirley Prebensen, Louise Allen, Audrey Palmer, Judith Collett,, Wendy Wilkinson, Helen Cotterill, Garry Kerslake, Fleur Haley, Beverley Cole, Zelma Cole, Nola Wildbore, Jean Collett, Delwyn Pratt, Colleen Allan, Lynne Allan, Norma Smith, Margaret Hudson, Elaine Hudson. and Leonie N-iefsen.
