The friends of Mrs. Jeffrey, cf Moutoa, will regret to hear thao she is confined to her bed throug.'i illness. Mrs. T. Wood and Miss D. Wood, of Venn Street, are both confined to bed on account of illness. Their many friends join in wishing tliem both a very speedy recovery. Mr. E. Butt, of Paraparaumu, who was for many years a resident of Shannon and a past Mayor of the town, is a visitor here lc'-king up his many old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Les. Wilson, who have been the guests of Mrs. Wi1.son's parents, Mr. andQ Mrs. E. Chester, Stout Street; have returned to their home at Taumarunui. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson spent a .few days at Napier before returning home.
