WELLINGTON, This Day. • With the New Zealand Cup meeting opening at Riccarton tomorrow week, the running of Cup and Stewards' candidates' at Feilding tomorrow will be followed with keen interest. Main interest will Centre in Longsword, who has come into favour for . the N.Z. Cup, when he contests the Manchester Handicap, which should prove a good trial for the big ordeal ahead. He is a picture of fitness and his prospects tomorrow of adding the Manchester Handicap to his already good record are more than bright. Although his chance over the long two mile journey of the Cup are not regarded as bright Master Robin is considered at Trentham as a prospect tomorrow. Other meetings to be held tomorrow are Waikato and Southland. Betting will be win and placc at tho« three meetings.
