WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. Danmges amounting to len guineas wero allowed Eriedrich Georg Mario Theodor Strewe, oi! Wellington, news pajjer employee, .in an action for libel for £1500 against Truth (N.Z.) Ltd., newspaper proprietors, by a jury whieh returned its verdict iii the Suprenie Court today after a three-day hcaring of evidence. The jury were out for about an hour. The foreman, in returning the finding, said that tlie jury were unanimuus tliat Truth liad not substantiated its statements and found for plaintilf for £10 10s damages. Mr. G. I. Joseph, eounsel for plaintilf, asked for costs but on the applieation of Mr. G. G. G. Watson, for defendant, it was. deeided by Justice Cornish, who presided, that the matter be reserved for legal argumeut.
