The Women's Division of Federated Farmers held its Novembei mee'.ing in the Anglican Hall, presided over by Mrs. Harris. Therc was a fair attendance. The meecing opened with the singing of rhe division song and the repeating rf tlie creed. A very entertaining garden quiz was held. A competidon fcr the best sponge without butter was won by Mrs. Storey, with Mrs. Smith second-. A very interesting demonstration on wreatn making was given by Mrs. Ashworth. The wreath was afterwardf taken to the cemetery to the grave of the late Mrs. E. K.'Bain as a tribute to hcr memory. The flower competition was won by Miss Hansen with a beautiful rhododendron, Bsckett with a rose and Mrs. Fitchett with an iris. Afternoon ea was served and the meeting onciiided with the singing of the fatioiial -Anthem. Tiio church service 011 Rememorance Day was well attended at St. Paul's, Paraparaumu. The service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Long. Girl guides, sccuts and cubs paradcd, and during the service ■hcir flags were placed in the nnetuary. Very boistorous conditions prevaili d at Ihe \v: okend. Seas wei;e mountainous and much damage was done to garclens. It was excep- • ionally coid for the time of the year.
