WHOLE HILLS TOPPLED
! Received Wednesday, 11.15 p.m. LIMA (Peru), Nov. 13. At least 470 are reported killed in the two towns destroyed in the earth- I qnake in the Andes area of North ] Peru on November 10, states the ' United Press correspondent. The two towns destroyed were Conchucos, , I where 300 were killed, and Sihnas, i j where at least 60 died. Santiago De- j ; chuco was devasfcated and 50 killed. j Survivors from Conchucos said J whole hills toppled during the violent shaking, hlocking the highways and crushing telegraph poles ihto splinters. The Governmenc is rushing food and medical supplies to the stricken areas. Lanclslides entomhed many native workers in one smali min,ing town. j The earthquake in some arfeas. caused I floods which hlocked possihle escape j routes for the survivors seeking higher ground, ✓ y yyyyy. ^
