AUCKLAND, Nov. 12, After drifting more than ."10 niilefl in a north-eastcrly "direction since tlie tow from the Government steamer Alatai was broken 011 Saturday, tlie (lredge Taniwha and oil barge Port Chalmers were located tliis morning by tlie Alatai about 53 miles east of Tokomaru Hav. The Alatai 's mastor, C:i])tain Webling advised that he was standing bv until the weather moderated before at tempting to pick up the tow and a later radio message at 8.30 p.m. sttited tlial the seas were still too rough to rec.onneet the tow. The Taniwha and Port Chalmers are being brought to Auck land from Timaru and Lyttelton respec tively.
