McCOOL TAKES SEVEX WICKETS Received Monday, 10 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 11. . The splend.id.ly controlled bowling oi McCool was mostly responsible for England's dismissal for 314 in the Austraiian Eieven match on a perfect wicket. Bowling practically uninterruptedly 23 .overs and taking four wxcicets for 68 runs today, fcs tuxned nicely with an occasional "wrongun" topspinner. He was supported by clean helding and good catering by a well placed field. - Once again it was shOwn that Engiand is vulnerable to spin bowling and jviccool has almost bowiefi himseif into the Test. Bradman was stronger looking than in Adelaide. His game pleased the crowd. It is his. first appearance since 1941. He made sevcral uncertain shots beiore settlmg down to neat stroking and footwork. The attendance was 23,841 and the takmgs were £2259. .

Both bowlers demanded caution al though they were not dangerous. Ikin was nearly caught in the slips oif a bad stroke but glanced Puckett neatly for 3.
