NEW WALKING RECORD Received Tuesday, 11 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 11. Bert Couzens, the 47-year-oId prof essional walker, today broke the 137-year-old endurance record. He circuited Romford Stadium track innumcrable times. He eompleted 2652 miles in 1000 hours. The conditjons were that he walked pax-t of every hour. Couzens had a ten-minute break after the th'ousandth hour, and went on in an attempt to reach 3000 miles. The previous record was 1000 miles in 1Q00 hours by Captain Jack Barclay.
