FRQM STAGE TO SCREEN STAR Until recently Trevor Howard, who . is' co-starring with Cecelia Johnson in "Brief Encounter," whiqh has, been released in New Zealand, was essentially a stage actor.. He played a variety of roles iil Lpndon theatres and gained invaluable experience with some of JEngiand's greatest actors and actresses. He-iikes pictures because at heart he is an inveterate wanderer and craves almost continual movement. He had travelled around the world before he was 8. Most of his childhood was spent in Brantford, Ontario. His mother is a Canadian — a descendant of the famous Scot, William Wallace.
