ANGLICAN WOMEN'S GUILD
NOVEMBER MEETING HELD Mrs. E. L. Hyde presided over a well attended meeting of the Anglican Women's Guild in the Parish Hall on Wednesday afternoon. Apologies for absence were reeeived from the Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Datson, Mrs. P. J. Wright and Mrs. A. R. Mills. Mrs. I. F. LengWard proposed' Mrs. Charter as a new member of the guild, and she was given a hearty welcome by members. Mrs. Allerby extended an invitation to all members to hold the February meeting of the guild at her residence at Buckley. Mrs. Allerby's gesture was greatly appreciated by those present, and the invitation was accepted and a vote of thanks ext€nded to her. On the motion of Mrs. Hyde, it was agreed that letters of sympathy should be sent to Mrs. Birss, Mrs. Sunnex, Mrs. Hart and Mrs. Mills in their sad bereavements.
Miss Munford gave an interesting report pn her activities in conneetion with the visiting of the sick during the past month. Mesdames Cronquest 'and Collins were appointed the December members to visit the sick and members were asked to advise them of any sick folk in the parish, Mrs. and Miss Allerby are to be the members to prepare the church during December. Members discussed fully the arrangements for the bazaar and social to be held in the Parish Hall 011 November 14. A most delightful afternoon tea was arranged by the hostesses. Competitions were held and the results were Miss Munford and Mrs. T. Walker equal for the best coat hanger. The best apron was won by Mrs. Parr by popular vote.
