Specialist looks in splendid trim after his race at Bulls and will carry coniidence iu the sprint at Levin. On the plough, Tid-Apa (Hastie) rau home the last three furlongs of ° her work in 43sec. Working the reverse wav, Flying Ace (Waddell) sprinted his iinal thrQe in 38sec. He looks in great fettle and will liave to be reckoned with the next timo he is produced. The Jumpers Red Glarc (Waddell), who is engaged at Feilding next week, gave his usual polished display of jumping over four hurdles. Another proiicient hurdler, Pcacli King (Buehanan) cleared six hurdles cleverly. Rink (Andrews) and Centennial Pride (Rouse) were associaled over sb: hurdles, both being responsible for a sound and improved exhibition. Trainer G. W. New, who intends taking a team to the New Zealand Cup meeting, stated this morning that Voltaic would not continue his ongagement in the Stewards' Handicap.
