Division In Main Event Might Be Avoided
v - (SPECIAL— FROM L.M.M.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Racing back on its own course for the first time since the outbreak of the late war, Levin racegoers will be able to enjoy a splendid day's sport at the Levin Club's ■ spring meeting tomorrow. The club's programme has attracted large flelds and it has been found necessary to provide divisions for half the card~ There is, however, every likelihood of divisions cbeing avoided in at least two of the evients, the Levin Handicap and the Hokio Iiack. The Levin Handicap requires only two scratchings, and as far as I can gather this is more than likely to be forthcoming. The Hokio Hack mainly comprises of horses with double engagements, and sufficient scratchings can be expected to avoid divisions.
A full survey of the Levin fields was published in yesterday's "Chronicle." The Napier Park Club will conclude its spi'ing meeting tomorrow while at Ellerslie the Auckland Racing Club will eonduct its singleday mid-spring fixture. Win and place betting operates at all meetings.
