Received Friclay, 12.25 p.m. LONDON, November 7. Reliable reports from Bihar indicate that the disturbances are miich more serious than was originally thought, says the Times' New Delhi eorrespondent. It is probable that the killed total more than 1000. One of the worst incidents oecurred when 150 Moslem refugees, being evacuated under police escort, were attacked 1 by an infuriated crowd and massaered. Troops in another ])lace opened fire today, causing 100 casualties. Elsevvhere 40 yere killed by military firing. The present outbreak of eommunal frenzy is the worst in the history of the province. It seems clear that the riots are in retaliation for Moslem excesses in eastern Bengal. The Jatest reports are that conditions are somewhat quieter, but peace is not yet restored.
