Fatal Mishap on Hill
Mr. Vivian Rongo Clark, aged 41, farmer, residing at Moneymore, Otago, met with fatal injuries as the result of an accident on Milburn Hill. Mr. Clark was driving- a horse-drawn flpat down the . hill when the harness broke and he fell between the horse and float. A wheel passed over his body and he received injuries to head and body. - Pigeon Post Carrier pigeons are being used by the crew of the A class keeler Waiomo to report the yacht's position on the voyage from Wellington to Auckland. The Waiomo, which left Wellington on Saturday afternoon, has been purchased by an Aucklander, Mr. J. Ellis, frdm Mr. Bryan Todd, Wellington. Mr. Ellis and crew, who are well-known Auckland yachtsmen, dispatched a pigeon early on Monday morning, the bird Teaching its Auckland loft on Tuesday with a message. The Waiomo was then 25 miles off Cape Kidnappers. A telegram received at Auckland on Wednesday night stated that the yacht had atrived at Gisborne in the afternoon. :
