ALONG ROAD TO SOCIALISM

AUCKLAND, Nov. 4. "We will follow the road to the same degree and at the same paee as for the past 11 years and with the same results," said the Minister of Finance, Hon. Walter Nash, in a speeeh at Mission Bay tonight, when replying to- a questioner who had asked how far Labour, if returned with a working majority, would go along the road to xxltimate socialism. The meeting was orderly but far from quiet and theie were many interjections from one or two small groups^of .persis-. tent people. A crowd of fully 800 filled the theatre to capacity and Mr. Nash, who spoke for about two hours and then answered questions for 40 minutes, had generally a good hearing. Interjections were frequent, however, and Labour supporters ealled several times for one persistent interrupter to be "thrown out".
