;and wished the club every success |this season and in the years to j come. I During the afternoon, the club captain, Mr. K. Thomson, and the vice-captain, Mr. K. Batt, were kept very busy arranging the sets. A most enjoyable afternoon tea was served by the ladies of the club. Three courts are now in excellent condition, and the pavilion and wirenetting fence around the lcourt have been repaired. Every- ; thing promises to be ideal for the sport this season. A competition held during the { afternoon was won by Mr. G. McEwan. _______________
