TRACK TRIAL SUCCESSFUL

WELLINGTON, Nov. 2. The first track trials at Paekakariki of the locomotive K-927, which has been converted to oil fuel, were suceessful, stated railway officials. The engine was tested without a load to eheck on the new equipment, but later it will pull full loads between Paekakariki and Taihape. Fuel tanks have been installed at both ends of this section of the Main Trunk,
