Principal interest in racing circles tomorrow will centre in •tlre New Zealand Trotting Cup, the chief attraction on the first . day's programme of the Metropolitan Trotting Club's spring meeting' at Addington. Keen interest is always held in this, the biggest trotting event of the season, and no doubt the running commentary on the race will be followed by thousands unable to witness the race. F. J. Smith, the successful Takanini trainer, has a strong pair in Josedale Grattan and-Volo Senwod to re- ✓ present him. Of the pair Josedale Grattan is a firm public faney with Integrity and Knave of Diamonds also in strong demand. Josedale Grattan and Volo Senwod will be bracke'ted on the i machines. The Napier Park Racing Club will open its spring meeting tomorrow and the Rangitikei Club's single day fixture will be held at Bulls. Win and place betting operates at all meetings.
