Following the breakdown of the eniployers' front in the past. three weeks with individual firms negotiating contracts with employees, all the biggest trucking firms are negotiating contracts with employees. All the biggest trucking firms today signed agreements. It is expected that practically all trucking firms will be operating within three days o but normal traffic will not be possible until the tremendous aecumulation of freight awaiting shipment is moved from the stores. Virtually all the new contracts provide for a 40-hour week pay ing 71.40 dollars compared with the old seale of 64 dollars for a '44-hour week.
