WHERE EVERYBODY IS WELL OFF.
HASTINGS, Oct. 29. Pointing out that the wool grower had been provided with a stabilised price for possibly the next six or eight years, then tlie meat producer with a iixed income for at least four years, and that the dairy farmer, under the guaranteed price, had never been in a better position, the Minister of Finance, Hon. W. Nash told an audience of about 450 at Hastings tonight that with all the country 's primary produce assured of markets and the producers getting seasonable prices, the Government had brought about a stabilisation policy ithat was the best of any country in the world. He reviewed* the arrangements made with United Kingdom for the disposal of wool, meat and dairy produce and indicated that the future eeonomy of the country rested upon these arrangements. Mr. Nash gave a lengthy survey of the Labour Government 's term of offiee and was aecorded a rousing reception.
