WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. Situation: A depression is southwest of the South Island; while a trough of low pressure is approaching New Zealand from the west. The forecast to 5 p.m. on Saturday is for strong westerly winds. Weather rather changeable, with scattered showers, especialiy about ,'the high country, bnt bright periods. Temperatures cooler. Further outlook: Similar conditions.
