MONTGOMERYS RECIPE FOR PEACE.
Received Thursday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 23. -To secure peace the nations must "be strong for which five reqiiirements were necessary Viscount Montgomery told Eighth Army veterans at the E1 Alamein reunion at Alhert Hall. The requirements were a strong ; national character, secondly, good scientifie and- technical research; thirdly, dispersed industrial potential; fourthly, a small well balanced regular or permanent force hacked up by non-regulars or territorials; fifthly, preparedness. • Paying tribute to the Eighth Army of immortal f ame, Viscount Montgomery said it was their spirit that could pull us through the difficult days of peace.
