Leave of absence was granted Cr. C. Sherwood from Monday even-r ing's meeting of the Levin Borough Council on account of illness. It was stated that he had been in hospital, but had now returned to his home and was making satisfactory progress. The death occurred at her residence, Cambridge Street, yesterday, of Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Mary Grey. The deceased lady, who was 79 years of age, was well knowh in the Hutt Valley before coming to Levin some eight years ago. She is survived by her husband and an adult family of one daughter and one son. The funeral takes place at Levin tomorrow.
