wellington, oct. 23. Strong exception has been takeh bv the registrar of the Court of Arbitration, Mr. R. d. Lumsden, to the Press Association message from Auckland which referred to compiamts bv the Auckland Labourfers' Qnion at the deiay in ratifyinp- the award for building labourers. "Reference in the statement from Auckland to ,'the long delay bv the -M.roiirauun Cjurt m ratnymg' tnt new award is completelv without foundation," s'aid Mr. Lumsden. "No disnute or the terms of settlement, or any papers in connection therewith, have been referred to the court. Until the dispute has been referred to the court there is 110 jurisdiction to perform any function in connection with it. "As there is nothin°; whatever before the court there obviously cannot have been any dela-" on the ^art of the court, and ver" strong objection is taken to the "Ublication of the most misleading state- . ment referred to."
