BITTER FEELING AT.DACCA Received Wednesday, 12.45 p.m. CALCUTTA, Oct. 22. The Bengal Government has Issued a statement that the situajion is under control in the Noakhali district and no further ineidents have been reported. J The Government has announced |a state of emergency in Dacca, where since August 20 HinduiMoslem clashes have been going on. It adds the feeling between the (Hindus and Moslems is still bitter, i md thcre is a danger of fresh out- | breaks. j Reuter's correspondent quotes an j evacuee who stated that twenty- : seven persons were burned alive in {a single hut in a village in the (Noakhali district. He said that | armed hooligans looted and burned l several liouses. They then collected iihe mon from the houses, bouna ! 'hem, placed them in the hut and Cset it on fire.
