ISteamer Delayed As the result of being a flreman short the W eiiington-N'elson steamero Matangi was unable to ieave Wellington on Saturday night. Eftorts were made to secure a replacement on Saturday but were not successful. Today, with the assistance of a representative oi the Seamen's Union, the company secured another fireman and the Matangi sailed at 7.30 p.m. last night. The hold-un will not interl'ere with future sailings from Wellington. Saved From Drowning Three youths whose 14ft. yacht capsized in Auckland Harbour yes-, terday morning, were saved from drowning by the launch of the coastguard service. Caught in a squaii, the boat overturned in rough water near Pt. Chevalier reef and the occupants were throWn into the water. Clinging to the bottom of their upturned craft and suffering from cold and the effects of immersion, they were rescued an hour and a half later after a resident of Herne Bay had telephoned the coastguards for" assistance.
