FIVE-DAY WEEK RESULTS
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 19. The most comprehensive survey yet made of the effects of the introduction of the five-day week amon'g 129 British undertakings which have adopted it, shows that in many cases production has henefited and in practically none was it adversely affected, while impr'ovements in attendance and ttmekeeping were a comhion consequence. The Times' Lahour correspondent says one firm reported that production had risen hy 12 per cent. and many firms which had not observed any effect, said production definitely had not Sufl'ered.
