Tlie locomotive will embody many jet princ'iples. It will suck in air, compress it and then pass it into the combustion chamber where it will be ignited with heavy fuel. The resultant, gases will explode with great force and operate thfe rotary blades of a turbine which will drive an electric generator supplying ciUTent and traction to the motors. It will probably be some time before the new locomotive is built and operating.
