entries (dlose on friday , After six years of recess on account of the war, the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Associacion will hold' its show early next month. Despite the handicap so incurred, and the competition of other events, the -Manawatu show promises well. The schedule to hand eXemplifies the courage, ^hterprise and energy with which the committee and its llve-wire secretary have set about to restore this once premier livestock texhibition. Every class customary at our shows is fully catered for, with excellent prizes offered and a most notable I5ahel of judges to make the awards. A good job has been made of restoring the grounds, and the committee appreciates tlie helpful attitude of the Public Works offiqfe(s,;who hav.e.been concerned withj the' ■■'•.'wd'rk. The facilities on the Palmerston North showgrounds are firstfate, there being no less thas 400 cattle stalls available and magriiflcent sheep pavilions.
