HEALTH OFFICERS' REPORT
The - health and sanitation inspector, Mr. W. J. Guinan, prei sented his report for the period j from July 1 to September 30 to the ! Shannon Borough Council at its fortnightly meeting on Tuesday evening. The report was as follows: — "No ' infectious diseases were reported. i During the period four habitations, : which include.dwellings,.hotels and j boarding houses were visted and ! two requisitions served. Five food i selling premises were visited and ! two requisitions served. Ten plumbing and draining inspections were , acrried out and four requisitions served. Two sampies of milk, one i of butter and two of water were I taken. Matters in connection with defective drainage at the State houses and the proposed effluent disposal for the new State houses have been attended'io. inspections have been made of the domain and the conveniences, some work being required to put the latter in order jOne business house was warned to clean up the premises of rubbish, I etc. "Inspections have been carried out at the school in connection I with defective drainage. , Inspec- ! tions have als'o .been made of the •J nightsoil and rubbish s'ites. Other detail matters have been attended j to." , The matter of the domain conveniences was left in the hands of thc reserves committee with power - to act.
