SYDNEY WATERFRONT AGAIN IDLE

The entire waterfront became idle ai noon today following a meeting ot walersiders who decided to figlu' against the Saturday morning call and the Stevedoring Industry Commission 's authority to discipline the men. As a result 62S0 watersiders aud 35 sliips ranging from overseas liners to coasters, are idle. The cargoes all'eeted all t'oodstuiis for Hydney, supplies for the troops, wool shipments to Brit'ain and Europe, and eoal supplies for IMelbourne, Adelaide and Western Austra.ia. This morning wlien 2SU0 men refused work unless others who ha«l been suspended for refuisng to attend last Saturday were reinstated, gangs who commenced last week were still working 13 ships. After the meeting runners were sent to call these men out. The men are also deiaiaixding paymenr for an 8 a.m. start even though work conimenees' later, and tlie minimum pay ment as for eiglit hours' work. Day Hliift. workers refuse to eontinue aftei 5 p.m.
