The opinion that the proflt on bread was satisfactory and they did not require a larger proflt as it would prol) ably result in the raising of the price to the consumer, was unanimously ar rived at by members representing 131 grocery shops who attended a meeting of the Wellington CJiain. Groeery Stores Association, states a supplied" report. Members, realising that bread was a staple commodity and that thpy were in business for the benefit of the public, desired it to be made known that they would continue to servicp. the publie and stock and sell bread at the same margin of profit aa at present.
