WELLINGTON, OCt. 17. Rev. H. W. Newell, formerly minister at the Terrace Congregational Church, Wellington, but now a Church of Engiand clergyman and for some years past secretary of the National Council of Churches _in New Zealand, has been appokned assistant general secretary of the World Council of Churches with headquarters in Geneva. He leaves early in the new year.
