A fair number of spring lambs came forward, but these sold slightly below paddock realisations. t Good qualRy fat hoggets were penned in large numbers and competition was keen Fat ewes were in short supply and cbnsequently met a brisk demand' Fat wethers on a whole 'were of very good quality, and the niajority was absorbed in truck lots, values being ls to 2s up on last week's quotations. Prime qx were in short supply, while those yarded were of inferior quality, with the co.nsequence that values did not compare with last week's realisations A truck of extra prime quality P.A. eows averaged approximately £15 5s, while lighter cows mad.e from £11 to £13. A pen of light unfinished ox did not meet with any competition, and were passed in. Veal and runners were in very short supply and those yarded were keenly sought. - A short yarding of dairy stock was penned, with the quality on the whole backward, and these sold from £11 to £13. Yearing j ersey heifers "brought from £6 to £7 lps. Boners and potter bulls met with late market rates. Large yardings of fat and store pigs had competition right through, and the brfsk saies on a whole brought rates in advance of the vendors' expectations. The following prices were realised: — Shcep: Prime quality wethers, 44s ld to 45s 7d; medium, 41s 7d-tc 43s lOd; light, 39s lOd to 42s 10d; prime b.f.s, 39s lOd to 42s 4d; prime heavy woolly ewes, 33s lQd to 33s 4d; medium, 30s ld to 30s 7d; prime heavy spring lambs, 31s 4d tc 31s lOd; medium, 26s 10d, 29s lOd 29s lOd to 30s ld; light, 25s to 26s lOd; prime heavy hoggets, 37s 7d to 39s lOd; medium, 34s 4d to 3ps ld; light and small, 28s 7d to 30s ld Cattle: Extra prime heavy P.A
