Personal Mr. W. Roach is spending part of his annual leave in Shannon with his parents in Stout Sureec. Mrs. J. A. Roach, of Stout Street, is spending a short holiday in Wellington, where she is the guest of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Roach. Cricketers Busy Local cricketers have been busy over the weekend preparing a wicket for the coming season. As the ground is not in very good order they are experiencing some difficulty. The local club has hopes of fielding both a senior and a junior team this season. Are You on the Roll? A copy of the Manawatu electoral roll is now open for inspection at the "Chronicle" office, Plimmer Terrace, and any residents doubtful as to whetlier they are on the roll are invited to check up. There is not a great deal of time left before the closing of the supplementary roll.
