Tlie American pilot and all 31 Cliin ese passengers. are reported to have been killed on iSepteniber 20 when a Chinese air liner struck a mountain southwestward of Hieliang. A . stnall scale war between lone tribesnien and Chinese troojis was responsible for the delav in elearing up the mystery.
