The villain is one of the truest rye played by Jomes Mason— he liyes with many womeny including the Cabinet Minister's wife (Margaretta Scott) , a phrpnic adultreps. Yet, beneath all this sordiness runs like a melody thp love story pf this Fanny (Phyllis Calvert) rather cruel victim of cirpumstanpes.
