WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. , "What action does the Prime Min- ! ister propose to tajse in regard to the right of military defaulters to vpte at the Pa-riiamentary Election," was a question which Mr. A. S. Sutherland (Hauraki) gave notice to ask' the Prime Minister when the House of Representatfves resumed today. Mr. Sutherland added that a newspaper report from Auckland stated that the j Auckland Trades Council has decided to ask the Government whether military defaulters would he entitled to vote- at the general election. ~ "Does not the Prime Minister think that these men who refused to serve their eountry, should he deharred from voting at least for ten years?" said£'Mr. Sutherland.
